QA Automation Engineer Lead Remote

SDET / QA Automation Lead 🌍 Remote worldwide (outside of Russia) —————————————— About the Product We build an ITSM / ITAM solution available as both SaaS and on-premise. Engineering team of ~30 engineers, with a mix of legacy components and newer .NET-based services. Automation exists, but a significant part of regression testing is still manual — slowing down releases. This role is key to changing that. —————————————— Responsibilities ▫️ Own the test automation approach and evolve it into a structured, scalable system ▫️ Improve reliability of existing automation, expand coverage, introduce clear patterns and best practices ▫️ Increase automated coverage of critical user journeys ▫️ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines ▫️ Work closely with the QA team and support their transition toward automation —————————————— Tech Stack ⚙️ Platform: .NET 🎭 Automation: Playwright, TypeScript 🤖 AI-assisted dev: GitHub Copilot and similar tools —————————————— Requirements ✅ Must-have: ▫️ Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks ▫️ Solid coding skills (TypeScript or similar) ▫️ Ability to work hands-on where automation is still developing ▫️ English — Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and spoken) ▫️ Russian — professional working proficiency 👍 Important: ▫️ Experience with Playwright, or willingness to adopt it ▫️ Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, etc.) 💡 Nice-to-have: ▫️ Experience mentoring QA engineers transitioning into automation —————————————— What success looks like In your first months, you will: ▫️ Establish a clearer structure and direction for test automation ▫️ Improve coverage of critical user flows ▫️ Reduce time and effort required for regression testing ▫️ Help QA team members grow their automation capabilities —————————————— Conditions 🕐 Fully remote, 40h/week, flexible schedule 💰 Competitive salary with regular reviews 📄 Service contract, work from any country 📚 Education budget — courses, conferences, training covered 🤝 Long-term collaboration — we're building a serious product —————————————— Please note: We carefully review each application and consider candidates whose experience aligns with the requirements outlined in this posting.
